The position of Programs Junior Practice Specialist is an ambassador to our clients. The first priority is to respond to our clients needs, questions and requests as professionally and efficiently as possible. All actions by FCA staff are fundamentally governed by the RIBO Code of Conduct, which sets out general guidelines for Insurance Brokers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setting up customer screens in Acturis. Processing and invoicing new business, renewals, endorsements & cancellations.
- Calculating renewal premiums 60 days prior to renewal
- Requesting refund cheques where merited
- Answering clients queries by phone & email
- Issuing certificates of insurance as requested with copies to client & insurer monthly reporting file
- Emailing or mailing documents including letters to clients including new policies, certificates, cancellations etc.
- Ensuring copies of all documentation processed are filed for monthly bordereau reporting to the program underwriters
- Documenting all transactions in system attaching emails & adding activities
- Updating and maintaining client screens as accurately as possible including updating contacts within client organizations as they change
- Updating program procedures once renewals have been negotiated with insurers including rates
- Contributing to and maintaining professional atmosphere and appearance of the office
- Other duties as need and requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Existing knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations and underwriting processes is an asset
- RIBO license is required
- Strong ability to learn new software programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
SCHEDULE:Monday to Friday
HOURS PER WEEK: 35 hours
