TEMPORARY BEHAVIOURAL ANALYST
POSITION TITLE: Temporary Behavioural Analyst
SALARY RANGE: $64,167 - $87,642

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behaviour Analyst assesses, designs and implements behavioural programs as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and provides leadership in building school-based and system capacity in the provision of effective supports to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and students presenting with challenging behaviour.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides expertise in the area of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles,
- strategies and methods.
- Develops and facilitates professional development training sessions to school-based
- and system staff as required to build capacity regarding ABA strategies and
- methods.
- Collaborates and coordinates with community agencies and behaviour therapists to
- support student transition to school.
- Leads a team of Educational Assistants specializing in ABA by providing coaching
- and training in data collection, and the implementation of behavioural programming
- for students.
- Presents and interprets data regarding student behaviour.
- Develops and supervises the implementation of behaviour plans with ongoing
- monitoring, review and revision as required.
- Provides direct support and coaching to school-based and system staff in the
- modelling of strategies to shape student behaviour.
- Consults with Teachers regarding individual education plans, safety plans and
- behaviour programs.
- Actively participates in system initiatives, projects and programs in support of
- improved student achievement and well-being.
- Communicates with parents/guardians regarding behaviour plans and student
- progress.
- Supports the implementation of Ministry of Education policy in compliance with
- Policy/Program Memorandum (PPM) No. 140 and No. 156.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis or Applied Disability Studies or equivalent and current registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
